Recently, I had an amazing opportunity to work on a whimsical and fun Mustache and Red Lip theme party for two wonderful sisters, Allie and Kit.

My amazingly talented photographer friend, Ellie introduced me to the two sisters and they both wanted to combine two celebrations in one! My amazingly talented cake designer friend, Abigail also helped create awesome cake designs to make the theme come alive!

Allie had recently graduated and Kit wanted to celebrate recent birthday--and they both had a vision of having fun mustaches and red lips as a fun theme to celebrate the two special and memorable events! Allie (the mustache) and Kit (the red lips) wanted two dessert stations, a photobooth and taco station and the whole party to be decked out in 'staches and lips!

After several meetings and collaborating with Abigail, Allie and Kit, the vision came alive!

I felt inspired to do a male and female, ladies and gentlemen look with touches of whimsical designs of paper made goods, vintage pieces with feminine and masculine touches.

For the dessert stations, we had a feminine vanity and a masculine barber shop!

We had a wonderful vanity full of cupcakes made by Abigail with apothecary jars and vintage bowls filled with candies. I also created labels for all the goodies and had borrowed Allie and Kit's antique mirror for the vanity. (The vanity had "L'amour" in red lipstick on it!)

For the masculine barber shop, we had an amazing mustache cake designed by Abigail with mustache and comb details on the cupcakes. I also made mustache candy pops and recreated a vintage barber shop for all the delicious goodies.

For drinks and sips, we had a lemonade stand for the ladies and a beer bar stand for the gents!

We also had an Anthropolgie inspired taco station with vintage luggage and details AND a filipino dessert bar designed with feminine touches of lace, floral and vases.

Lastly, we had an awesome DIY photobooth, tacos catered and made fresh on the grill. For entertainment, Allie and Kit had a fun filled night filled with acoustic sounds and amazing performances from local bands. All the guests donned their mustaches and red lips in their best ladies and gent outfits!!!

We couldn't end the night without a Happy Birthday song for Kit and a congratulations to the new grad, Allie!

BIG kiss and whisker THANK YOU to all the family and friends who came out to help with the event and celebrate in their staches and lips!!

It was truly a blessing to work with such wonderful sisters, Allie and Kit and with my good friends, Ellie and Abs to celebrate two wonderful events on a fun filled night full of 'staches and lips!

XOXO and Whiskers kisses,
Sweet Caroline

After my talented cake designer friend, Abigail Lodevico told me about the awesome opportunity to create a fun dessert table for WeLoveLB.org, I was ecstatic to collaborate with her to create a wonderful "cake city" honoring our favorite city, Long Beach! The event would take place at 2nd City Council Art Gallery in Downtown Long Beach. We were excited to partake in the event and help our favorite city and the community!

We Love LB is a non profit organization in Long Beach created to help build relationships and networks within the city, as well as serve the people and neighborhoods of Long Beach.

Abigail and I decided to recreate the 9 districts of our beloved Long Beach (we were inspired by the circle dot map on the site!) with cupcakes topped with distinguishing landmarks, symbols, neighborhoods and streets, that put Long Beach on the map!

Because Long Beach is big on keeping our planet healthy by "being GREEN" with promoting recycling and biking, we had a wonderful time creating the recycled "cake city"! Our cake city was mainly created by reusable and recyclable materials from The Long Beach Depot for Creative Reuse, which is an awesome place for all your crafters and recyclable creatives! Thank you to the wonderful people at The Long Beach Depot for Creative Reuse for supporting us in honoring our beloved Long Beach!

Special thank you to We Love LB for allowing us this amazing opportunity to create a cake city table honoring the great city of Long Beach!

A wonderful thank you to our wonderful and talented friend, Ellie, who took amazing shots of all the cake city details and the gallery! Please check out her work, she is amazing!

A BIG thank you to my talented cake designer friend, Abigail for being amazing to work with again. We did it sister!

Lastly, it was a wonderful honor and amazing opportunity to meet the founders, organizations and people behind the scenes of We Love LB! We had an awesome time meeting both Long Beach natives and lovers.

Goooo Beach!
