DIY <3 Paper Flowers

I come from a family of artists. My grandma (I called her lola) and mother are very fond of floral design. My grandma was actually a crafter. She loved creating paper flowers from any scrap paper around the house and she made the most prettiest arrangements from them.

In dedication to my sweet lola, I dedicate this paper flower DIY to her <3

What you'll need:
1) Any scrap paper around the house (phonebook, newspaper)
2) Cardstock
3) Floral stems
4) Green floral tape
5) Glue dots or double sided tape
6) Scissors

First, cut out as many flower shapes as you like (its best to have different sizes). Cut a slit on each flower and tape each flower in the shape of a cone. Curl the petals of each flower. Have each flower cone lay on top of each other and continue to curl each petal until they are appear flat on top of each other. Secure each flower layer with double sided tape or glue dots. Poke a hole with one of the floral stems in the middle of the flower. Use green floral tape to tape the stem to the flower cone point. Create leaves with extra scrap paper or any design you'd like to put in the flower. Tape the leave and designs with double sided tape. Create a bouquet of them and pick a pretty vase for display. Arrange until perfectly pretty. <3

Viola! You've got a paper flower bouquet.

Lola would be proud <3

DIY Baby Shower Party Banner

For my friend, Christine's first baby shower, I decided to create my own baby shower banner! Heres a very simple baby shower banner DIY tutorial for those who want to create a custom made look for a babyshower table!

What you'll need:
1) Hole puncher
2) Construction paper or cardstock paper with color of your choice
3) Colored chalk
4) Pretty ribbon
5) Double sided tape or pretty thumbtacks

Fold your papers in half, creating a half moon shape to cut out different shapes of hearts. Use chalk to write in cursive your baby shower banner name. (Some ideas for your banner name: Baby, Its a Girl, Its a Boy, Baby Love.) Hole punch the top of each heart for ribbon to be threaded through. Thread ribbon through your banner and put on wall/place of choice with either double sided tape or pretty colored thumbtacks.

Place your babyshower banner above your babyshower table. (Make sure your banner matches your theme and colors!)

Have you made a banner with this DIY tutorial? I'd love to see your banner and party table look!
